Terms and Conditions for the 2024 NAISTD Conference
Payment Terms:
- Full payment for conference registration is required at the time of booking.
- Payments can be made via check, credit card, bank transfer, or any other payment method specified during the registration process.
- Invoices for payment must be settled within 30 days of the invoice date.
Non-Refundable Policy:
- All conference registration fees are non-refundable. This includes conference registration, reception, and meals.
- No refunds will be given for cancellations, non-attendance, or any other reasons.
Substitution Policy:
- Registrants who are unable to attend the conference may send a substitute attendee in their place.
- Substitution requests must be made in writing and received by the conference organizers no later than seven (7) days before the event.
- Substitutes must provide the necessary registration details and any additional information required by the date requested by the host state.
Cancellation by Organizers:
- The organizers reserve the right to cancel the conference, in whole or in part, due to unforeseen circumstances.
- In the event of cancellation by the organizers, registered attendees will be notified as soon as possible.
- The organizers will not be liable for any costs incurred by registrants, including travel and accommodation expenses.
Changes to the Program:
- The conference program is subject to change without notice.
- The organizers reserve the right to make changes to the program, including changes to speakers, topics, and schedules.
Data Protection:
- By registering for the conference, attendees consent to their contact details being stored and used by the organizers for conference-related communications.
- Personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Liability:
- The organizers shall not be held liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property incurred by attendees during the conference.
- Attendees are advised to arrange their own insurance for travel, accommodation, and personal effects.
Code of Conduct:
- Attendees are expected to behave professionally and respectfully towards other participants and organizers.
- The organizers reserve the right to remove any attendee who violates the code of conduct without refund.
Force Majeure:
- The conference organizers shall not be liable for any failure to perform their obligations due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, labor strikes, or pandemics.
- In the event of a Force Majeure, conference organizers may refund the attendee’s conference registration fee. Conference organizers will not refund attendees’ fees associated with conference and/or event attendance, such as hotel fees, car rental fees, or any other fees or expenditures.
Governing Law:
- These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Missouri.
- Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cole county, Missouri.
By registering for the NAISTD conference, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
