NAISTD 2021 Conference – HOLD THE DATE – October 6, 13, and 20
The NAISTD Executive Board, with direction from our membership at the Annual Meeting, is pleased to announce the dates and format for the virtual 2021 NAISTD Conference! The conference will be held over three consecutive Wednesdays – October 6, 13, and 20 – from 12:30 pm until 4:00 pm EST each day.
In addition to our traditional slate of individual state workforce initiative updates, we are excited to announce our keynote session, presented by the National Skills Coalition – a nonprofit workforce advocacy organization based in Washington, DC. Caroline Treschitta, Policy Analyst and Amanda Bergson-Shilcock, Senior Fellow, will join us to provide the latest updates on how Congress is tackling workforce development, and how state leaders can respond to the latest findings on digital skills and incumbent worker training.
- Learn about key features in proposed infrastructure legislation, the current status of various legislative proposals, and the outlook for states upon passage of any infrastructure or workforce-related legislation.
- Find out why digital literacy is one of the fastest-moving topics on Capitol Hill right now, after the pandemic enormously accelerated the rate of technological change in the workplace.
- Get practical examples of the types of industry-specific digital skills employers and workers are seeking, as well as best practices in state policies for upskilling and reskilling incumbent workers.
- Join the conversation and get your policy questions answered!
While we hope you will join us for all sessions, we understand everyone’s busy schedules and encourage you attend as much of the conference as possible. More conference details and registration information will be coming soon, but be sure to mark your calendar now to hold these dates. We look forward to seeing you in October! In the meantime, please let us know if you have any questions.
